When the wedding is outdoors, there is always the wondering, the worry, the fear that it will rain.
This day in February it did rain, but only on our florists. The sun shone beautifully by the time the ceremony started. All to the good though, because the rain helped to keep the huge outdoor installations lovely and fresh through the morning and into the afternoon.
The ceremony was held at Tussie Mussie Vineyard - Retreat under the branches of an ancient pinus radiata, with vine-wrapped metal chandeliers hanging as a backdrop. A wildflower hedge crept along the aisle and onto a platform behind the bride and groom, framing them with flowers.
Ivy, olive, poplar, beech, peppercorn and elaeagnus foliages were interwoven with white roses, delphinium, hydrangea, gypsophila, Queen-Anne's lace and delicate ferns for a wild and whimsical feel.
