Join us on Saturday, April 18, between 1pm and 3pm, for this hands-on vase arranging workshop. We invite you to bring along one of your most-loved vases from home and one of our floral artists will teach you how to style it with abundant seasonal blooms and foliage.
Whether your vase from home is a new favourite or a cherished heirloom, by the end of this 2 hour workshop, you will have a beautiful and bespoke floral vase arrangement to enjoy at home, as well as industry knowledge on how to compose a piece of floral art.
Seasonal blooms and foliages included in ticket price. Additional blooms and foliages will be available to purchase on the day if you so wish. Maximum 10 people per workshop.
Workshops are hosted in The Hive – our beautiful, light-filled event space above our Fitzroy Flagship at 247 Brunswick Street.
Care & Maintenance
Floral varieties and colour ways may vary due to seasonal availability. A couple of tips to increase longevity of your flowers:
- On receiving your flowers, be sure to trim their stems (2cm) on a 45-degree angle prior to placing them in their vase.
- Flowers consume a lot of water. It is important to ensure they always have two thirds of the vase full.
- As flowers are susceptible to bacterial build up, please change their water every two days and fresh cut their stems.
- Use sharp scissors when trimming the stems to avoid damaging the tissue / cells at the base.
- By keeping your flowers out of direct sunlight and heat, you will be ensuring their longevity, as they will mature quickly when exposed to heat and light.
