As floral artists, we are often asked what our blooming picks of the season are, and in winter it’s no different.
Winter brings a gentle beauty of colours, shapes and textures. When asked such questions about what is best for winter, we simply say, play with colour, shape and texture – pairing unexpected blooms (such as the fuzz of possum banksias contrasted with the delicate petals
of anemones) and complimenting them with bared winter branches is a way to celebrate all that the season has to offer.
Floral artist, Kat, created this stunning winter floral arrangement with Hakea as the hero bloom, has been a florist for 10 years and has been with the Flowers Vasette family since 2019.
