Meet Anthony and Troy
Anthony and Troy’s love story began over 12 years ago with an unplanned, last-minute evening drink in Melbourne. From their very first conversation, it was clear that humour and a lighthearted approach to life would become the foundation of their relationship.
What has sustained them through the years—and what they believe is a true recipe for success—is the understanding that to fully love others, one must first love oneself. This perspective has carried them through the joys of their relationship and the inevitable challenges that all couples face.
As busy professionals who travel frequently, the couple have embraced the saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder” as a guiding principle in their relationship. Rather than viewing time apart as a burden, they see it as an opportunity—a chance to not only reflect on the gift they bring to each other, but to also foster their own personal growth.
Distance allows them to appreciate each other more deeply, strengthening their bond and reinforcing the value of the time they do spend together. Love flourishes not just in shared moments but also in the space that allows each person to grow individually.
With their time together being so precious, Anthony and Troy have learned to make it sacred—not cluttered with tasks or obligations, but intentionally filled with meaningful moments that deepen their connection. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, a quiet evening on the couch, or cooking side by side, they cherish the simplicity of these experiences. For them, true intimacy isn’t found in grand gestures but in the quiet, everyday moments that remind them of the love and partnership they share.
One piece of advice they offer to couples is to never lose yourself in a relationship. Love should never come at the cost of individuality, but rather, it should nurture and celebrate it.
